Healthcare Forms Digitization

The healthcare claims digitization process is a requirement for various insurance companies based in the United States and third party administrators. INOX GSL assists these insurance companies in converting the paper claims into electronic files. This is executed by capturing the process critical information from the forms, as specified by the client.

Process Flow

Scanning -> FTP transfer of data (uploading) -> Downloading -> Data Entry -> Verification -> Quality -> Check -> Output File Generation

The healthcare claims digitization begins with the scanning of the forms received by the insurance carrier. The forms are then uploaded on the FTP site. The scanned images are downloaded at the India end.

The forms are distributed among the Data Entry Personnel through a software application specially designed as per the client requirements.

The dual entry model is used for data integrity in which after the original data entry, the verification executive again keys the same data. After data entry, verification, and the quality check are completed, the final output file is generated. To ensure a high level of security the files are zipped and PGP encrypted. INOX GSL can deliver the final output in the format as required by the client.

The dual keyboarding of data processing ensures upto 99.5% accuracy. We provide a Turn Around Time (TAT) of less then 24 hours.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 is designed so as to protect health insurance coverage for workers and their families. The rules state that any health care provider or insurance entity that maintains or transmits "individually identifiable health information", referred to as "protected information", about a patient or client is deemed a "covered entity" and is subject to HIPAA. The files are exchanged through FTP server via VPN (Virtual Private Network) using high encryption level, so the files are secure.
