manpower pool enriched by over 380 universities, 11200
degree colleges, 1500 research institutes, over 200000
engineering graduates, over 300000 science graduates,
2100000 accounts and arts graduates and over 9000
PhDs.
Financial
services are expected to experience the hottest growth.
No longer is it just entry-level work for Indian players
in this service line. Service providers are moving into
value-added domains such as insurance claims processing
equity research and financial management.
Deloitte Research covering 100 financial services
companies indicates that approximately $ 356 billion of
their operations and 2 million jobs are expected to be
transferred offshore over the next five years and 15% of
the global cost will shift offshore. More than 73% of
the top US executives outsource at least one business
process. Out of these 41% were outsourcing finance and
accounting services.
According to a survey by Gartner, 78% of midsize
business ( msb) respondents that have experience with
BPO are outsourcing or plan to outsource one or more
of their HR processes. Beyond HR, 16% of MSBs are
either outsourcing or planning to outsource finance
and accounting processes.
